Edit, resend, and track quote status
Reading a quote’s status
Every quote moves through a few stages, and QuoFlow shows you where it is with a status badge at the top of the lead and on the quote card. The stages are:
- Draft — created but not yet sent.
- Quote Sent — delivered to the customer, waiting on them.
- Customer Viewed — the customer has opened the quote.
- Ready to Schedule — the customer accepted. Shown in green.
- Declined — the customer said no. Shown in red.
The quote card header also switches from “Interactive Quote Builder” to Quote #1042 (its number) once a quote exists, so you can tell at a glance that a lead already has a quote on it.
The builder is locked once a quote exists
After a quote has been created, the builder becomes read-only. You can see every choice you made — service, quantity, stories, risks, add-ons — but the controls are greyed out so you don’t change a sent quote by accident.
Editing a sent quote
You can revise a quote while its status is Sent.
- Open the lead with the sent quote.
- Tap Edit Quote at the bottom. The builder unlocks.
- Change whatever you need — service, quantity, stories, risk factors, or add-ons.
- Tap Resend Quote. QuoFlow updates the line items and sends the revised quote to the customer again. A confirmation message shows the quote number.
Edit Quote only appears for quotes that are still Sent. A quote that’s already Accepted or Declined can’t be edited.
Changed your mind
If you started editing but don’t want to keep the changes, tap Cancel Edit. QuoFlow asks you to confirm (“Discard changes?”) before it throws away your edits and puts the quote back exactly as it was sent.
The total you see while editing
The number at the bottom is labeled to tell you what you’re looking at:
- Quote Total — the exact figure the customer received. This is what shows on a saved quote you haven’t touched.
- Running Total — a freshly recalculated number. The moment you change any input in edit mode, the label switches to this.
Why the switch matters: your pricing settings (rates, multipliers, the trip fee) might have changed since the quote first went out. Showing the live recalculation only after you actually edit something keeps the untouched quote honest — you always see the real number the customer got until you deliberately start changing it.
Reopening a lead to see what was quoted
When you come back to a lead that already has a quote, the builder rebuilds itself from the saved quote. Your service, quantity, stories, risk toggles, and add-ons all come back so you can see exactly what was quoted.
One thing that doesn’t come back is the Estimated Job Time from step 5 — it’s only ever your private note and isn’t stored on the quote, so it starts blank each time.
