Work orders overview and job details
What the Work Orders page is for
When a customer accepts a quote, the job becomes a work order. The Work Orders page is where you schedule and track those accepted jobs all the way through to completion.
You open it from the Work Orders section in your menu. On a phone you see the list first; tap a job to open its details. On a bigger screen the list sits on the left and the details show on the right.
The Open work orders list
The list on the left is titled Open Work Orders with a count next to it, like “Open Work Orders (3)”. That count is the number of jobs that still need your attention — jobs that are Draft, Scheduled, or Confirmed. It stays the same even when you filter the list, so it always shows your full open workload.
Each row in the list shows:
- The customer’s name (or a short lead number if the name isn’t set yet)
- The property address — just the street part — or a job number like
#1042if there’s no address - A status badge (Draft, Scheduled, or Confirmed)
- The scheduled date, or the word Unscheduled if you haven’t set a date yet
Tap any row to open that job in the detail pane.
Sorting and filtering the list
Above the list are sorting and filtering controls.
Sort lets you order the list by:
- Newest first
- Oldest first
- Scheduled date, earliest to latest
- Scheduled date, latest to earliest
Filter lets you narrow the list by status: Draft, Scheduled, or Confirmed. You can pick more than one.
If your filters hide every job, the list shows “No matches — adjust filters” with a Reset filters button. Tap it to clear the filters and see everything again.
Seeing completed and canceled jobs (Archive)
Finished and canceled jobs move out of the open list into the Archive.
To see them, turn on the Archive toggle at the top right of the page. A second list appears with its own sort and filter controls. You can sort the archive by “Recently archived” or “Oldest archived,” and filter it by Complete or Canceled.
Turn the toggle back off to hide the archive again.
The job detail pane
When you tap a job, the details open. At the top you’ll see:
- The customer’s name
- The property address
- The work order number, like “Work order #1042”
- A status badge for the job
On a phone, use the back arrow near the top to return to the list.
Work Order Information card
This card gathers everything the customer told you when they first reached out:
- Up to four property photos from the original lead. If a photo is still being prepared, you’ll see a “Processing…” placeholder where the image will appear — check back in a moment.
- The customer’s email
- Their phone number (shown once they’ve provided it)
- The property size in square feet
- The address
Quote & Schedule card
This card shows the money and the timing for the job.
- Accepted Price — the total the customer agreed to when they accepted the quote.
- Line items — each part of the quote with its own price, so you can see what’s included.
- The scheduling controls, covered in the next article.
On a tablet or larger screen you’ll also see a Job Total summary near the bottom of the job that repeats the accepted price. (On a phone this summary is hidden to save space — the Accepted Price in this card still shows the same amount.) Both the Accepted Price and Job Total are for reference only — you don’t collect payment here. Invoicing happens on the separate Invoices page.
Messaging the customer
If the job came from an accepted quote, a Message History card appears at the bottom. This is the same conversation thread from the quote. You can read past messages and type a reply to the customer right from here.
